Group Blog: Its only me again
So, for this project, I decided to be alone, And it’s quite the story. However, I was not mean before hearing how I decided to work independently; I just found it important to solve unlikable situations before they happened. The last project is about all of my commercials. I already decided with one of my friends that we should definitely work together on the upcoming musical project that we learned about. We were set. I was excited; I was brainstorming all the time, and I knew which song I was doing. Of course, my friend agreed with me. Then, once we were given the proper directions in class, someone asked to partner up, of course, and we said of course. I am buddies with this person. We’ve known each other, and we do talk, so I have to help out, and the more, the merrier. However, we hadn’t been talking for 20 minutes to think about a song, but all my song options were shut down immediately. Personally, I would’ve liked for my choice to be put on the piece of paper. However, it did not make it on. After I left, I was very upset, and it was quite visible, but I calmed down during my study hall. But the entire interaction had me thinking, can I work for almost 2 months with this person? We are really good friends. However, I think we have two clashing personalities, and in a group project, I don’t think it would be good, so I dropped out to work on my own. And I felt bad too, because the other person left for personal reasons of procrastination. I know blogs will be started three hours before the due date. The song I chose was 1000 Miles by Vanessa Carton. I chose this song for the following reasons: first of all, it was in one of my favorite movies, white chicks. Second of all, it’s just a really nice song and the beat. It’s very upbringing, and I know it pretty well. And finally, this was a song I saw myself doing repeatedly listening to repeatedly. Also, for an off-to-record reason, I thought this song could be used to showcase my journey of getting Bruno Mars tickets or if I got them. The songs really reminded me of a journey to a certain goal. However, it reminds me of the innocence of the era when I was a small child. I wasn’t born when the song was released; however, it was something I heard often.
